Brand-new: Our Very Smallest Screw

What are major advances? We would say: It’s all a matter of perspective. The best evidence is our latest screw – the smallest one Haller-Jauch has ever produced. The new micro-screw has posed exciting challenges, especially for our production team.

Is this still a turning part? You have to try really hard to identify a screw in what first seems like a tiny crumb. But if seeing it is already difficult, how demanding must its production be?

A look at its dimensions already indicates that highest manufacturing expertise is required here.

Plus the screw thread and the slot in the screw head with a width of just 0.2 mm. A demanding job? The perfect task for the team at Haller-Jauch, as managing director Matthias Werner points out: “As experienced specialists, we are well acquainted with the manufacturing of micro turning parts. This applies to our machinery, our processes and, of course, also the production team.”

And yet, even for the experts in minute parts this screw was a novelty. “We have already produced many small turning parts, but this one has been really challenging. In the end, however, we made it. For our team, special tasks such as the manufacturing of this micro-screw are both a challenge and a motivation. To put it in a nutshell: If it’s possible, we make it possible.”

The successful realization of the project is based on a perfectly structured process. “For us as a contract manufacturer, an efficient, consistent and at all times transparent project schedule is essential”, Matthias Werner explains. “This refers to every stage, from the enquiry via the technical fine-tuning and production and material planning to the test series and final manufacturing. In this way, we from Haller-Jauch guarantee the quality our customers expect from us, from small batches to series production.”
